Cannabis Watch: Global Cannabis Applications & Cannex Capital Holdings

Looks like it’s going to be a good day for the Canadian cannabis market. If you’re an investor looking for marijuana stock news, you’ve come to the right place!

March 15: The Cannabis Market

Today, we are going to be looking at two cannabis companies that made massive announcements this week, causing both cannabis stocks to increase today. First, we will take a look at Vancouver-based Global Cannabis Applications. Then, we will end by looking at Cannex Capital Holdings.

  1. Global Cannabis Applications (CSE:APP):

Founded four years ago, Global Cannabis Applications is a British Columbia-based cannabis company, known primarily for offering its Citizen Green platform.

On Thursday, Global Cannabis announced that it is launching an artificial intelligence chatbot, named ‘Sanna’. Considering the hype surrounding artificial intelligence, I’m not surprised to see the cannabis sector moving into this field. It is thought that this artificial intelligence chatbot will help patients receive medical cannabis information, as well as personalizing their cannabis treatment recommendations. Not only will it benefit the company’s patients, but it is also forecasted to help Global Cannabis as well. Why? Because it will provide the Vancouver-based company with feedback on their products.

The market seems to be excited about this news. As of this writing, Global Cannabis is trading at $0.32 on the Canadian Securities Exchange. This puts the stock up $0.03, or 8.62%. The APP stock opened at $0.30 and hit a high of $0.34 at one point during the session.

  1. Cannex Capital Holdings (CSE:CNNX):

Cannex Capital Holdings is thought to be a leader in the North American cannabis market, and yesterday, the company commenced trading on the CSE, under the stock symbol ‘CNNX.’ It is for these reasons that today’s increase is so impressive.

As of this writing, Cannex Capital Holdings is trading at $1.78. This puts the stock up $0.44, or 32.84%. Not bad for its second day trading on a Canadian exchange, right? The stock has received 2,119 stock trades already.

The Takeaway
