Cannabis Stocks: Aphria Falls, While Canopy Growth and Aurora Cannabis Rise on the NYSE Today

Aphria Inc. (NYSE:APHA) went live on the NYSE last week. At that time, it joined two other cannabis stocks also listed on the major US exchange, Canopy Growth Corporation (NYSE:CGC) and Aurora Cannabis Inc. (NYSE:ACB).

Currently, Canopy and Aurora are trading in the green, while Aphria remains in the red. Let's take a closer look at these three cannabis stocks and their latest company announcements.

Cannabis Stocks: Aphria

Aphria is based out of Leamington, Ontario. The cannabis company sells and produces medical cannabis across Canada and internationally. 

This morning, Aphria announced it has appointed four new directors in its company. The shareholders elected John M. Herhalt, Michael Surruya, Shlomo Bibas, and Tom Looney to its board. 

According to Yahoo Finance, APHA is currently trading at $11.95 a share, down -$0.05 (-0.38%).

Cannabis Stocks: Canopy Growth

Canopy Growth was the first major cannabis company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange this year. It is headquartered in Smiths Falls, Ontario, and together with its subsidiaries, it engages in the growth and sale of medical cannabis across Canada.

The cannabis stock has been climbing all day. According to Yahoo Finance, CGC is currently trading at $39.03 a share, up +$1.89 (+5.09%).

Cannabis Stocks: Aurora Cannabis

Aurora Cannabis is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, and went live on the NYSE on October 23rd. Just this morning, the cannabis stock announced the official opening of its latest cannabis production facility, in Lachute, Quebec. It will be called 'Aurora Eau.'

"We're thrilled to officially open our latest technologically advanced facility in the Lachute Region and proud to continue to invest in Quebec," said Terry Booth, CEO of Aurora. "There is incredible potential at Aurora Eau. It's designed to be a place where our expert cannabis cultivators have the flexibility and control to produce some very special high-end varieties that few commercial growers are prepared to tackle. We intend to make some very rare and exciting products there."

According to Yahoo Finance, ACB is currently trading at $7.10 a share, up +$0.08 (+1.14%).
