Cannabix Technologies Inc Sees Positive Test Results in THC Breathalyzer

Cannabix Technologies

Cannabix Technologies Inc. (CSE:BLO) (OTC PINK:BLOZF) announced positive reports today regarding its recent testing of its Beta 3.0 Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer. The company's breathalyzer is geared to be used by law enforcement officers and in the workplace.

The latest breathalyzer testing has shown the first order separation and identification of two key metabolites of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), being 11-hydroxy-delta-tetrahydrocannabinol and 11-nor-9-carboxy-tetrahydrocannabinol in standards. THC is the main psychoactive component of marijuana.

In addition to those advancements, scientists have also made significant progress in using lower flow rates for the breathalyzer. This is geared towards those individuals that may have poor lung quality, that way the unit can get an accurate reading based off of a possible small amount of air sample given.

Also, engineers announced they have been testing a new technique of breath capture that should be able to hold THC breath samples for several days. These major advancements in the technology of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer are the reason why its stock is one of the top cannabis stock gainers on the market today.

Bill C-45

Since the Bill C-45 was passed through the Senate in Canada and the State of Vermont, the number of inquiries for the Cannabix breathalyzer has increased full-fold. The company has received inquiries of piloting the product in both Canadian and U.S. law enforcement agencies. Other companies are interested in piloting the breathalyzer to test the THC levels of their employees at work.

CEO of Cannabix Technologies said in the press release:

“With the passing of Bill C-45 in Canada, the growing problem of drugged driving will increasingly become an issue of paramount concern for federal, provincial and civic governmental officials and the public at large who are concerned about maintaining public safety on our roads, institutions and in our workplaces... Cannabix Technologies has been at the forefront of research and development in this arena and understands the complexities related to breathe testing for marijuana. As the issue of drugged driving becomes increasingly acute, Cannabix is committed to using its technology, R&D, and scientific experience to provide effective tools to aid law enforcement and help governments and the public transition to marijuana legalization in various jurisdictions.”

As marijuana becomes nationally legalized in Canada and expands throughout the United States, law enforcement agencies are going to need a way to track THC levels of drivers. At the same time, major companies will need a way to track if employees are “under the influence” of THC on-the-job. Demand will continue to rise for this technology, and Cannabix is making steady progress.
