2018 Harvest Results Posted, Charlotte’s Web Stock Moves Higher

Charlotte's Web stock

On Tuesday, January 15th, Charlotte's Web stock (CSE:CWEB) (OTCQX:CWBHF) entered the green zone, trading up 3% at the time of writing. Based on the company's latest piece of news, this is not a surprising move for Charlotte's Web Holdings.

Charlotte's Web Stock: Up on 2018 Harvest Results

Today, Charlotte's Web Holdings, which is based in Boulder, Colorado, announced its harvested hemp results for 2018. Overall, the report was positive. According to the report, 2018 saw more than a ten times growth in harvested hemp. For perspective, these results are in comparison to 2017.

More details on the report can be found here.

And here's where it gets (even more) interesting. On the news, Charlotte's Web stock moved higher. According to Yahoo Finance, as of 2:30 PM, the CWBHF stock is trading at $12.84. That means Charlotte's Web stock is up 3.08%.

Surprised?

As good as today's news is, it's not overly surprising. Since late December, outlets have forecasted that Charlotte's Web Holdings, which is already a market leader in the hemp industry, will benefit from the passing of last year's Farm Bill. Not only was this a win for America, but many speculated it was one for Charlotte's Web as well. And honestly, that speculation is proving to be accurate. Just last week, in fact, the hemp stock secured a former Coca-Cola executive, a move that sent Charlotte's Web stock up nearly 4% twenty-four hours later.
