Namaste Technologies new CFO: Namaste Technologies (TSXV:N) announced today that it has appointment Kenneth Ngo as new acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ngo joined the company as a corporate controller back in April 2018.

Ngo has held many executive positions in a number of Canadian and US publically traded companies and has over 20 years of finance experience.

Mr. Ngo graduated from Simon Fraser Univesity in British Columbia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He received his Chartered Accountant designation while working for Deloitte LLP.

Namaste Technologies' new CFO said"I'm thrilled to being [sic] part of an exciting journey. Namaste is a true visionary of technology platforms that is well positioned for significant growth."

Namaste's previous CFO, Philip Van der Berg, submitted his resignation.

Board Appointments

Along with the announcement of a new CFO, Namaste Technologies has announced that Fern Glowinsky has joined its board of directors. Glowinsky has been CEO of Merrco since March 2018 and previously spent 15 years as a senior exec at Moneris. Namaste has been a client of Merrco for several years.

Glowinsky commented:

 "With Merrco's dedication to enabling payments in the cannabis sector, I'm extremely excited to be joining Namaste's board and partnering with Sean, his team and the rest of the board as Namaste continues its mission of innovating cannabis technology solutions globally, while delivering a better user experience."

NamasteMD

The Vancouver-based Namaste announced this Monday that it has acquired more than 6,000 registered users on its NamasteMD platform.

NamasteMD is Canada's first fully-integrated medical cannabis telemedicine app. This application is available on both Android and iPhone devices and offers free initial consultations.

The company is looking to further accelerate the project in the second half of the year and has its eyes on the Indigenous communities. Namaste plans on leveraging its technology to reach rural Indigenous communities. These communities suffer from sparse access to healthcare services and the company feels it can fill that need.

Currently, Namaste Technologies is trading at a market capitalization of $389 million on the TSXV.
