Sundial’s Rocky View Facility Receives Processing and Medical Sales Licenses

CALGARYDec. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Sundial Growers Inc. ("Sundial") today announced that its Rocky View facility received its standard processing and sales license for medical purpose from Health Canada, allowing the company to begin selling its premium Alberta grown cannabis into the medical and adult-use markets. With the facility now fully licensed, Sundial will immediately start shipping product to Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC), making its initial line of branded cannabis products available to Albertans. Sundial's medical platform and portfolio of medical products will become available for patients starting in early 2019.

"Obtaining this processing and medical sales license at our Rocky View facility is another important milestone for Sundial," said Sundial CEO, Torsten Kuenzlen. "Consumers and medical patients will have access to Sundial's premium cannabis products and award-winning genetics. Our world-class team of growers and licensing experts have worked extremely hard to fulfill the Health Canada licensing requirements and I applaud them for their passion and dedication."

The updated license fulfills Sundial's commitment to having an initial line of cannabis product available to Albertans this year, before launching its full portfolio of brands in early 2019. While Sundial continues to complete construction at its 500,000 square foot flagship facility in Olds, Alberta, today's announcement brings the company one step closer to becoming the world's best cannabis company.
