SPLIF Stock Down 6%: Nutritional High Appoints New CEO

SPLIF stock

Nutritional High International (CSE:EAT) (OTCQB:SPLIF) is back in the news Monday; however, SPLIF stock is performing poorly, dropping lower on the market alongside several other cannabis stocks.

Here's what has been going on lately.

SPLIF Stock: The Latest with Nutritional High International

Nutritional High International, which is a Canadian cannabis company, has been in the news various times this month, from announcing at the start of June that its Sacramento facility received its provisional distribution license to saying a few days ago that it supports the House of Representatives' decision to allow states to determine what their cannabis regulations should be. Things are no different today, with the Toronto-based company announcing that it has appointed Adam Szweras, an experienced entrepreneur and securities lawyer, as its new Chief Executive Officer.

“We are pleased Adam has agreed to take on this new role with Nutritional High,” said David Posne, Company Chair. “We have great confidence in his leadership qualities."

Unfortunately, the news didn't do much to SPLIF stock. According to Yahoo Finance, as of 1:13 PM EDT, SPLIF stock was trading at $0.1350 on the OTC market, which puts it down 6.12%.

Positives on the Horizon

SPLIF stock is not the only poor performing cannabis stock today, likely due to Canopy Growth (TSX:WEED) (NYSE:CGC), so investors can't be too hard on Nutritional High International. If anything, the appointment of Adam Szweras should give them something to look forward too. According to Szweras, he plans on being more hands-on and helping the company strengthen and expand its operations in California.
