where is marijuana legal

Where is marijuana legal: Canada just became the first G7 nation to federally legalize recreational cannabis a few weeks ago, but cannabis laws within the United States are constantly changing.

It is hard to keep track of the changing laws between the fifty states, especially due to the two sectors - recreational and medicinal. Each holds their own set of rules and guidelines that are managed by each state.

Some states strictly prohibit cannabis from being used medicinally or recreationally. Let's break the states down into three categories - states where weed is legal recreationally and medicinally, states where weed is only legal medically, and states where weed is illegal across the board.
